Dr Zalmee (Zal) Zid

Zal graduated with Honours in Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide in 1996. With a passion for providing comprehensive dental care, he began his professional journey at Happy Valley Dental in February 2002, where he has since built a reputation for his expertise in general dentistry, airway health – sleep apnoea, and cosmetic procedures. His dedication to patient care extends to the innovative use of Invisalign, helping clients achieve their dream smiles while promoting overall oral health.

Outside of his dental practice, Zal embraces a holistic approach to wellness through hot yoga and meditation, fostering balance and mindfulness in his life. He is also an avid art enthusiast and enjoys attending live performances, which inspire his creative side. Travel is another passion, allowing him to explore new cultures and experiences, further enriching his perspective both personally and professionally.

Dr Tim Hurley

Tim graduated from dentistry at the University of Adelaide in 1985 and has dedicated his career to enhancing patients’ dental health. Joining Happy Valley Dental in March 2003, he focuses on general dentistry and is particularly skilled at crafting high-quality dentures. He is committed to improving patient experiences and fostering long-term relationships. His compassionate approach ensures that each visit is as pleasant and comfortable as possible, reflecting his belief that dental care should be both effective and supportive.

Outside of the clinic, Tim is an avid sports enthusiast and a passionate supporter of the Crows. He values quality time with his family and enjoys staying active. His holistic view of health extends beyond the dental chair, emphasizing the importance of a well-rounded, fulfilling lifestyle.

Dr Thuy (Twee) Tran

Thuy completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide in 2013 and has been a dedicated member of the Happy Valley Dental team since December 2014. She has completed further training in the surgical placement of dental implants, Digital Smile Design and the administration of injectables to alleviate temporomandibular dysfunction (TMD) and migraines. Thuy has a sizeable portfolio of cosmetic veneer smile makeovers and always ensures her patients leave with confidence and satisfaction.

Outside of her dental practice, Thuy is a busy mum to two energetic young boys, Archer and Arnold, along with two adorable miniature sausage dogs. Married to one of Adelaide’s finest Food, Wine & Travel Photographers, Duydash, Thuy is often dining at new restaurants and appreciates good wine. In her downtime, she stays active with reformer pilates, embracing a balanced approach to health and wellness. 

Dr Anh Diep

Dr Munira Kadiani

Munira attained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in Mumbai in 2009 and joined Happy Valley Dental in October 2020. She brings a wealth of experience in general and restorative dentistry and is particularly proficient with aesthetic dentistry and root canal treatments.

Munira is committed to transforming past negative dental experiences into positive ones, building lasting relationships with her patients. She creates a warm, comfortable environment by thoroughly explaining treatments and addressing any concerns, ensuring her patients feel confident and at ease.

Outside of dentistry, Munira enjoys travelling, exploring new foods, painting, and hiking.

Dr Jason Bae

Jason completed his dental training at the University of Adelaide in 2020 and began his role as a dentist at Happy Valley Dental in October 2022. Many patients may recognise Jason, as he was a familiar face at the clinic while working as a receptionist from 2018-2020.

Jason practices general dentistry with a keen interest in oral surgery, implants, and restorative treatments. He is dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-focused care, ensuring that each individual receives evidence-based, tailored treatment performed with kindness and professionalism.

When he’s not in the clinic, Jason enjoys food, beer, wine and staying active through running, cycling and gym.

Dr Denise Yap

Denise graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2023 and joined Happy Valley Dental in February 2024. We are fortunate to have her as part of our team, as she brings a refreshing enthusiasm for learning and a commitment to expanding her skill set beyond her recent graduation. Her passion for general dentistry is evident in her desire to connect with patients, understand their individual needs, and ensure that every dental visit is as comfortable as possible. Denise is dedicated to empowering her patients with confidence every step of the way on their oral health journeys.

Outside of her dental practice, Denise is a foodie, she enjoys traveling, and spending time in nature through hiking and walks. She loves discovering new places with her family, embracing the adventures life has to offer while fostering a sense of community and connection both at work and in her personal life.

Dr Imogen Reid

Imogen completed her dental training at the University of Otago in 2019 and joined Happy Valley Dental in July 2024. She focuses on general dentistry and is passionate about working closely with her patients to improve their oral health and boost their confidence in their smiles. Her goal is to ensure every patient has a positive, comfortable experience during their visit.

Outside of dentistry, Imogen enjoys staying active through gym, Irish dancing and hiking.

Dr Jarod Ho

Jarod graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2019 and began working at Happy Valley Dental in July 2024. He practices general dentistry and has a keen interest in dental implants. Currently, he is undergoing postgraduate training to expand his expertise in implantology, striving to offer patients the most advanced care possible.

Understanding that visiting the dentist can be a stressful experience for many, Jarod is dedicated to making each appointment as comfortable and positive as possible. His patient-centered approach helps ensure that everyone feels at ease during their time in the clinic.

Outside of dentistry, Jarod is a foodie and enjoys exploring new cuisines and destinations when travelling.

Dr Henry Chen

Sue Tosh

Sue attained her Diploma of Dental Hygiene in 1986 and joined Happy Valley Dental in 2002. She is also certified in Mental Health First Aid, which supports her holistic approach to patient care. With a special interest in periodontics and the use of EMS Airflow technology, she is passionate about helping patients maintain optimal dental health. Building trusting, empathetic, and fun relationships with her patients is at the heart of her work.

Outside the clinic, Sue enjoys spending quality time with her family, friends, and her two dogs, Max and Bella. She loves tending to her garden and going on long walks.

Jess Grech

Jess completed her Advanced Diploma of Oral Health (Dental Hygiene) in 2020 and joined Happy Valley Dental in March 2024, recommended by our clinic’s long-standing and respected dental hygienist, Sue. With a special interest in teeth whitening and the use of EMS Airflow, a state-of-the-art, gentle method for scaling and cleaning teeth, Jess is passionate about providing comfortable care, especially for patients with advanced gum disease or sensitive teeth.

What Jess loves most about her work is seeing her patients improve their oral health and grow more confident in their smiles. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys good food, staying active at the gym, and spending quality time with her young son, Parker.
